Decided to quit drinking alcohol

Well, I’ve decided to quit drinking alcohol. It was fun while it lasted but it’s just reached a point of diminishing returns and I’m not really enjoying it anymore. Since having almost no alcohol in the past month I’ve felt healthier and have had more energy. The best part is I’m a happy person without it.

The last thing I have left to do is quitting smoking and for that I’m planning on quitting for my 40th birthday next year.

I remember a doctor telling me that alcohol was a depressant, so I would get depressed when I drank it. I discovered that to be true. There are a number of reasons I had to quit drinking. It’s been fourteen months since I stopped. It’s good that you’re aware that, in the long run, you feel worse when you drink.

I’ve been sober since December 2016 I don’t miss it. I stop smoking 3 months ago thanks to champix. I don’t party or go out anymore I just stay at my apartment by myself. I know it sounds boring but im loving it. I’ve never felt so stress free, and stress triggers my psychosis. I’m happy and content being alone right now.

I’ve recently discovered that I can get sort of high from drinking certain teas. I have cut down from 30 units of alcohol a week to 10 because of it, that is one bottle of wine per week which is quite a considerable difference. It is not that I feel elated on the tea, but it reminds me of being drunk or stoned feeling without the other side effects of taking them.

There are a few teas that can do it. Tie guan yin tea (5gram) steeped in boiling water for a few minutes is one of them.

Maybe trying tea will help cut you back on alcohol and weed too.
