I'm not really any happier, but I'm enjoying life more

after quitting drinking.

well, I should say I hope to enjoy things more, once everybody can again during this pandemic.
It hasn’t ever taken a whole lot to please me.

that’s great. im finally to a point where im happy sober as well. sometimes beers are offered to me while im visiting friends or my brother in law. i was just drinking one or two, but now i don’t want that either. i’ve realized it puts me in a lazy mood, and robs my motivation to get a workout in.

now im getting into other interests of mine.

with drinking with purpose,
you can start out 2 or 3,
but it grows, and gets worse, or ends up 6 or more.
then it’s a major problem.
My brother who still drinks with purpose,
doesn’t know when to quit when he gets like that,
and swears he’s not an alcoholic. hm.

@Daze it’s so amazing you’ve managed to stay sober during all of this. I’ve wanted a drink now more than ever, but I’ve managed to hold fast.

Be proud in your accomplishment, as it is no easy feat!

Well done daze. I’ve also quit drinking. But I’m finding it hard. I used to drink for so many reasons…but now I want a child.

When i drink to much alcohol i watch myself feeling sick. Somehow i manage to quit for awhile when this is happening. I wish sometimes cigarettes would do the same with me.

Good for you for quitting @Daze.
I used to drink a lot. Life is much better since I slowed down. I only drink once in a while. And no drugs.
Also @Qwerty, keep up the good work.
