Ah yeah they get mixed up easily. Which one you pick all depends on your goals.
i did keto for a while it is similar to atkins and i lost 30 pounds in two months than i stopped doing it lost 25 pounds eating whatever i wanted but counting calories, i think i might do it again if the med i started a week ago increases my appetite because when i was on keto my appetite was inexistent i would only eat when it was i had to take my meds and i was eating like 1200 calories most days, one thing with any diet like atkins it doesnāt really help you lose weight basically eating less calories will determine weight loss the diet will just reduce your appetite and you will be cutting out all the junk and empty excess calories like sugar
If you lost a lot of weight then why do you still need to be on a diet?
Itās a bit more than that though because your body needs the carbs. I canāt go into it right now.
So my atkins shopping got delivered today. I havenāt even started and Iām craving carbs already lol 
Thatās a lot easier than making your own Atkins meals.
Calorie counting is easier when youāre exercising too because then you can eat more. And then you start wanting to exercise more so you can eat more and eat the stuff you want to eat
Itās a healthy cycle
I think the main issue people get w calorie counting is they set unrealistic goals and try to cut back too much too soon when you have to gradually adjust your body.
Sorry I meant general stuff for the diet, not Atkins branded stuff.

I think they sell the atkins products in grocery stores. Its probably cheaper to cook your own meals.
What are some of the meals/recipes you are going to make?
I tried it for a year with the help of a dietician. And basically I hit a wall at about 2200 calories/day. I couldnāt go any lower. 

well good luck w the Atkins diet!! Iāll be dieting with you, my goal per day is around 1200 calories but I work out daily so it ends up being more like 1400.
Iām starting out so Iām just keeping it simple. Iām not much of a cook anyway. So combinations of meat, salad and cheese. I have some low carb dips as well. I have an app with low carb recipes but most of the recipes might be beyond my skills.
Well itās been 18 days and Iāve already lost 2kg ( 4.4 lb). Iāve completely lost interest in eating and now only seem to eat to stop my stomach rumbling.
I want to lose another 8kg. Or maybe see how much I can lose in a year.
Itās a very difficult diet for me though but Iāve been on it before and knew it would be.
Fingers crossed I can stick with it.

If you lose another 8 kg in 2-3 months, which i think might happen, then you can only maintain instead of stretching the diet for a whole year. =(
If I lost 8kg in 3 months Iād be thrilled ! Weāll see !
I notice, if I do any sort of exercise I lose 4 pounds a week. But I am only eating small portions so I am losing 2 pounds a week.
I think Atkins is a good diet - as long as you get enough healthy fats and protein 
Itās been another week and Iāve lost another 1kg. So Iāve lost 3kg so far. (6.6lb)
I canāt stand the sight of food right now. Lol. But thatās maybe good if youāre trying to lose weight.
