It makes me go for fruit more just needs to buy more nuts humous and lots more veggies
Great job @anon80629714! Awesome!
I have been eating too much bread lately
Hummus is the bomb. I eat it with pita bread. Especially the spicy kind. Yummy.
It’s highly addictive stuffs super hard but I’m gonna find an alternative
My doc said it’s one of the antidepressants not letting me lose weight. Wellbutrin or Celexa.
I don’t eat bread, rice, or pasta. And I haven’t in a very long time.
I’m really into eating kiwis atm. They are super tasty.
Good luck with your diet changes.
How comes ur taking out potatoes
It’s just your body telling you it needs carbohydrates to function properly.
@anon9798425 is right! Carbs are important🤗. Whole wheat, whole grain or even brown rice and oatmeal are so so good for you! Please talk to your dr.
As a veggie I cannot avoid carbs … I am not going low carb I’m just avoiding high carbs. Like bread , rice , patatoes, pasta which I ate a lot of. Plus I will eat rotis and maybe the occasional porridge.
Parboiled rice, and pasta cooked so its still slightly hard, and tortillas are all great options. High fat/protein diets come with their own troubles. Its best to just stick to carbs but those carbs that digest slowly. Those carbs with a low “GI” its called.
Also mix these carbs but with dark leafy vegetables like spinach and you’ll be real healthy
I just making broccli with cauliflour and cheese. As I said I’m not out to elimate carbs…thank you so much poster I’m gonna save it really helpful
Thanks IMO just vegetables is too filling without enough calories to sustain you throughout the day. You can still eat bread and stiff just in small amounts like 1/2 cup mixed with other stuff. That’s my 2 cents. Good luck
There is no carb that should be hated high gi have their place. I cry for them. Food should be understood and not feared. Edited there are even times when the worst diabetic can time a cheat snack though not recommended
I agree 100%! All foods are tools to be used in different ways. That being said I think low GI should be your primary weapon and sometimes higher gi foods be used as a secondary when needed for example if your blood sugar is low and you need to raise it quickly
. Yes, most of the time low gi carbs are best, but high gi have their place, too
Sourdough wheat. Hmm, I’ve never made. My sourdough started is from rye and all purpose flour. Do they mean to feed the starter whole wheat flour? Sourdough is great because it’s fermented . Puts it in a category of its own
I have PCOS, so having foods with high carbs isn’t the best idea. I have been told to lower my carb intake before I just didn’t didn’t feel I could do it and wasn’t in the right mind set to try
