I tried going without eating bread on my lower carb diet, but just couldn’t do it.
Breads like Whole Wheat and Rye are healthier and they keep me feeling full, so I’m not constantly eating.
I just limit the amount of bread down to a couple of slices a day. I’m eating less than 2000 Calories a day and have lost 6 pounds within a couple of weeks.
Do you include bread into your diet?
How much and which kinds?
My favorites are Rye and Pumpernickel.
These are lower in Carbs.
I’m avoiding bread in my current low carb diet. It’s hard because you’re right, bread is filling, but I’m on metformin and that reduced my appetite substantially so I think I can sustain it.
i dont eat bread at all and i havent in a really long time even before i started doing a low carb diet but i have ground flaxseed and u can make really low carb bread from it i made a muffin from it and it had 1 net carb only from the baking powder but flaxseed is all fiber and good fats with lots of omega 3 its rly good stuff it tastes great i add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to it i think im gonna make some bread from it eventually
I’m gluten-intolerant and gluten free bread is usually pretty nasty, so I tend to stay away from it. I will eat gluten free bread at Subway if they toast it twice, but that’s an hour away, so it’s not really regular.
Would low-carb flour tortillas work? I know it’s not bread but it might fill the craving.
If you cut bread out of your diet (which is borderline sadistic) you will lose weight though.
I cut out bread and cheese and coffee creamer and I dropped ten lbs in two weeks
I remember going low carb during my days in the military and lost like 30 pounds in a month. However that was when I bought my own stuff(currently living on whatever my parents buy). Try living off of things like meat and nuts and vegetables(the problem also is that it is expensive). Also I always consume milk because I like it so much.
The word diet makes me eat more and I don’t know how I fasted with out drinking water even when I was Muslim for a whole year or how I was. Vegan for 8 months .
I have never dieted.
I said I would diet yesterday but that made me go to kitchen and binge on sweets,bread instead.
It’s better I don’t say I will diet cause that makes things worse than normal.
I have cut down on sausages when we eat that for dinner.
I used to have two sausages n now I only have one.
I never used the diet word though.
This meal cost us $1.50 each n is pasta n cheese pack and sausage.
I was amazed we are able to have such a cheap dinner.
I have started making home made bread and made raisin bread with cinnamon last time n cut in slices n froze so can have raisin toast.
