CV and Adjustments

Hey guys, particularly anyone employed. I’m writing a CV to hand and discuss during an interview, and I’ve added a section for “reasonable adjustments” - what sorts of things can I list here as potential adjustments to discuss during the interview, or shall I not do it at all and wait further down the process of employment if I get there?

So far I’ve gotten past the assessment stage and this is now the formal, final interview (wednesday)

This is exciting time 4 you

I am hoping to get a job interview this month.

Let’s see who gets a job first :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t think I would add reasonable adjustments on my cv.

But your situation is obviously different.

It might be a good idea as then it sieves out employers who would not be suitable

And reduces pressure

Because you’ve already laid out your cards on the table.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I wrote schizophrenia on the original application form and the manager still invited me for assessments, I’ve forgotten but I’m certain if I had to guess lol.

But yeah, it’s good to make it known quickly so I weed out any negative employers

I appreciate that.

So far only applied to 1 place

I think they respond around 20.9 so yeh

But if I see other suitable jobs I will apply there too.

Take care :ok_hand:

I don’t disclose my illness to recruiters. However I only apply to remote jobs.
What adjustments would you need?

The only one I can think of is work from home, this is a hybrid role so it’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll be offered some sort of work from home package, at least one or two days.

Edit: I applied directly to the local government instead of an agency so they’re fully aware (if I remember right)

It depends on the job specifics.
Can you do night shifts?
Flexible hours?
Bring a service pet to the office?
Can’t drive, so rely on public transport => longer commute or need train pass reimbursement?

I can’t think of much really.
In my case it’s social discomfort, I don’t fare well in open-space rooms / cubicles. I need my own room.

Workspace environments, that’s a good one

is informing your employer that you are schizophrenic affects your chances negatively for employment? i prefer not to tell anyone about my mental illness.at my work no one knows that i am schizophrenic but i have doubts that they think i am not normal.don’t know its a delusion or a real thing.

Hey, how did your interview go?

Public sector is much more accepting of things

Wish you luck!
