Can be truly awful. Today a customer really berated me because he thought his drink was wrong when it was just a coffee with a touch of oatmilk. It wasnt wrong, and i would have just remade it anyway, but he decided to instantly talk down to me and my coworkers all jumped in to defend me and set boundaries. I got so mad i was trembling and had to ask my coworker to take over while i cool down. I didnt say anything bad towards this customer and im proud of that and i wasnt going to give him the satisfaction of seeing how much i was shaking. I havent had that experience much, usually customers compliment me on my kindness, i make a point to be pleasant
Sorry that happened to you. Some people are just jerks.
I worked in customer service on call centers and I attended them with a lot of patience and kindness so they chilled down sometimes I had some really rude people sometimes though like once a guy told everyone in my company was a piece of shite.
Yeah man i cant do call center jobs lol. No way. I worked in city hall once and part of my job was taking calls, i remember lots of break downs in the hall, not a good time.
I’m so sorry, it’s a bugger. I took fire on Friday for something someone else did before I worked at the company. I was the one who got blasted over it, though. Don’t you love how it turns the dial up on symptoms?
Yeah they are pretty stressful lol I had the advantage on being on some companies that receive only like 5 or 6 calls a day fortunately but yeah I couldn’t handle the ones that had calls without breaks in between.
Yeah legit. I was able to calm down pretty quickly but noticed some delusional thinking popping up for a couple hours after.
Yeah, when I worked at the gas stations, the nice customers really outnumbered the jerks.
Some people just don’t really want to put out the effort to be nice. It’s nice that you have co workers who support you when the occasional as*hole shows up.
He may had a bad day. It was not angry on you by the way. Customers all way regret later on IMO. And rare customers are always like that.
You know one lady in dominos pizza was so angry on every thing and the manager just came over and took her order away and delayed it even further. And set the Time limit to half an hour waiting time you will learn some people are always short tempered no matter you give it for free. Then they say you think I did all this for free.
Some customers you cant satisfy no mater what.
They are usually having a bad day. Its not your fault.
There should be a national day where all retail people get to be Aholes and give it back to the customers. They opened this restaurant over here with that premise. You go in and the wait staff treat you like garbage and insult you. Trouble with the whole concept though is there’s still Ahats out there and they still had problems with the staff copping abuse back…some people are just horrible.
I have many more good customer interactions than bad ones, but the latter are the ones that knock you sideways. Client called in to open a claim on a very expensive trailer that had been stolen the night before. I couldn’t find it in our system at all. Not good. Went through the year’s policy docs and it didn’t appear in any of them.
DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD.
Pretty obvious at this point the unit had no insurance no point in putting a claim through. I needed to do research to find out what happened. Needless to say the customer unloaded on me. Then he called back and unloaded some more. Then his mom who is his boss called and unloaded on me. This is while I’m getting hammered sideways with a high volume of work because a large chunk of our staff were at a convention.
Anyhoo… I discovered that 12 units had been deleted for the 2016/17 renewal. Likely by the customer, but the person who did the change didn’t log any notes (violation of company documentation standards). It’s not on us as the customer had five years to notice the unit missing from their insurance docs, which it is their responsibility to review. I sent back the info I had and my managers are following up next week.
Had a beyotch of a time sleeping this weekend because of how much it wound me up. Punched the dial on the aliens right up to @#$%ing eleven on me.
