COVID and grocery shopping

My stepdaughter has been doing my grocery shopping for quite a few weeks now. I said on Monday that I’ll be glad when things are better and we can go together . She said just to let her know and we can go together .

The trouble is I’m not sure I can cope with current shopping regulations that are in place. I’m not the best when it comes to estimating distances.

I’ve just had a look at several supermarket rules re COVID and they stress that only one adult from a family should come into the store to shop.

I’ve been going shopping with my uncle. I should be going alone but he is the one with the car. Usually I would go on my bike, but by him taking me out I only have to go once a week. With the bike it takes a few trips per week.

My stepdaughter does a very good job of shopping for me .

I am glad I don’t need assistance with purchases, be it food, clothes, meds, plane tickets, hotel rooms, hookers, drugs… ok, just joking about the last two. While living with my parents, during the more troubled years of my illness, I could barely get dressed for going out, everything was painfully hard. But now I am relatively comfortable going out every other day for shopping.

There is a smaller Sainsbury in town that I’ve used a few times for the odd item or two . It doesn’t have the choice of items that the bigger Sainsbury my stepdaughter takes me to has though .
