Check it out if you’re in the UK and get standard PIP for daily living
You can become tax exempt for council tax and they may even refund your council tax to the start date of your PIP award
Just need to download a form and then get the GP to sign and stamp it
@mods this guy Martin Lewis is not a fraud his job is to help people get what they’re entitled to

In Belgium I also get a tax discount as a disabled person.
Something good they are doing for us.

Sometimes the council applies this for you if you filled out the papers during the process for applying for housing benefit

I had no idea about this until the info was posted by this Martin Lewis guy!
Don’t know why they make things so obscure that you don’t know about thing like this!

Man, I agree. they always make it obscure when they’re legally binding to making it not obscure.
for example, i live in a council flat, and i should have access to a council housing portal but when they moved me in, the account was never given to me. so for things like applying for new housing because needs have changed or buying the flat off the council - i won’t be able to freely do without having to manually ask them (they basically introduce permission seeking behaviours when legally it’s a right and shouldn’t need to go through systemic permission brokering!!!)

a pro pdoc
My GP signed it.
He put the date I got dx’d with SZ, and put his GMC stamp on it (General Medical Council)
