This has been going on for awhile now. I’m almost 40 years old. I remember one evening i feel asleep and started getting really vivid dreams and then woke up. I didn’t think anything of it at the time. After that my anxiety got really bad and I started hearing voices when I’m going to sleep. Sometimes i hear the same thing waking up. I went to a few places that treat mental health. I really didn’t get any answers. I’m also getting closed eye images and occasionally nightmares. I’m not saying this is schizophrenia, but the voice part has me concerned. I also feel like dwell on this and it’s hard to think positive.

Hi @Rider82 welcome to the forum
Hey dude welcome to the forum! My advice is to make an appointment with a psychiatrist immediately. You need to get examined and get a diagnosis as fast as possible. It could be a number of things, but if it is sz/sza, taking early action is very important.
I developed sz, decided to take meds early on, and all delusions and paranoia went away within 2-3 years. Even when I was symptomatic in the first couple of years, I had periods of lucidity thanks to the meds. My brother, he started getting it just a year ago, waited too long to start meds, now the voices have him confused about things and he just won’t see a doctor. The illness basically won’t let him.
Delusions and hallucinations are separate symptoms but they do tend to come together quite often.
I’m 38, symptoms started for me at age 30.
