Complete Sobriety

I barely drink much, it’s been over a month since I even touched weed. I’m ok but I realized even though I didn’t need it, I’m better off without it anyways. I’m basically completely sober, away from negative friends or bad influences. Its just difficult because now I’m getting depressed. What should I do to stop being depressed. I left a voicemail for my new therapist but he never called back. Should I just sleep all day, I want nothing to do with world right now, it’s all hypocrisy. Everyone I meet or interact with, I feel on edge thinking they could be a criminal or have hidden motives–why? I’ve been hurt too many times by losers.

Good job on being sober for a month! Keep up the good work!

Keep trying to contact your pdoc. Perhaps you have a hobby or something fun you could do to pass the time until you see your pdoc? I’d say sleeping the day away is preferable to going out and getting trashed again, but obviously it’s not good for you long term.

If you can get the energy to exercise, play music, or do something else productive, I always find that eases my depression. But it’s easier said than done getting out of bed and doing something when severely depressed.

If you’re feeling down and ever need to chat, feel free to leave me a message on the forums or in pm.

Good luck!

well, at least you have your sobriety ?? that is SUCH an achievement ! I haven’t drank in at least a month and now that I’ve finally stopped smoking again I doubt I can drink for at least a year, maybe never if I try and smoke again. day three today. it was tricky. I just chewed an unreal amount of nicotine gum and finally the cravings went away.

Yeah I’ve been using the nicotine gum too and it works great. I do need support though. It’s hard going through it all alone, I mean my so called friends all smoked and drank and partied–so It’s a lifestyle change too. Not that I even drank when I was with them, for a year, but he would lie and say I did anyways so the biggest change was cutting off people who would lie about me.

I haven’t felt like working either…like who wants to babysit when they feel this stressed out. I didn’t have kids so I don’t need that stress at the moment.

**You are doing so well with the sobriety!
I would say when you are dealing with a challenge, pamper yourself any way you can.**Sleep some, but balance it out with a little exercise-just a walk. Get some good books or movies, get a massage. Be kind to yourself. If you want a little company, call someone. OO

Congratulations on a month without weed. In the short run and the long run, you’re better off without it.

Thanks guys! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabidiol I’ve been researching the anti-psychotic effects of prescription CBD which is non–addictive non-THC form of the plant. I know it could be beneficial, so when it becomes available I’d prefer to be prescribed it as an anti-psychotic.

And YES, I’m continuing to abstain from that and also decided to stop drinking altogether. Right now I’m drinking coconut juice and getting healthier every day.

I’ve also been taking vitamins, Fish Oil and 5HTP. I need to start taking these vitamins every day.

You know if you are really serious about experimenting with CBD you can deactivate the side effect of being high by subjecting the weed to a certain temperature.

I use to do it with butter in a frying pan.

What you want is a Indica strain of weed because Indicas have a high Cbd content generally speaking.

Sorry I forgot to mention that there are some strains that can be found through out the US with a higher cbd to thc ratio to the point that its useless for getting high.

It’s called ditch weed because you can literally find the stuff growing in a ditch on the side of the road.

I can’t do that, but I will eventually get it prescribed in its most natural form by a doctor.

Good for you! .
