I was cornered in a small room and they don’t let me go but shut at me and criticize me until I sign a contract. I was forced to be sold their personal training sessions for long hours every time I visited the gym.
I actually feel incompetent to protect myself against their selling tactics. I have spend one fourth of my savings in just a few days.
I feel unrest and can’t sleep. They get me into a room for selling every time I went into the gym I actually don’t have chance to workout. I told them I have therapy sessions I must go and they refuse to let me go until I signed up a contract so I missed appointments almost every time. I feel hopeless with gym. I want to lose weight but I only lose money by going to gym.
I think I have a problem living in this commercial world. I really am deficient on thinking abilities. I can’t manage being sold things.
What can I do!
They pressured you. But they can’t force someone to purchase a membership. Hopefully there’s a clause in the contract that will let you back out of it and get your money back. If not, I would write or call the Better Business Bureau and complain about this gyms tactics. You’re being bullied and taken advantage of. They don’t care about you, they just want your money. Don’t give them the satisfaction, once you realize you are being bullied and that you are not helpless or stupid, well, that should motivate you to not let them con you anymore. Learn to use the word “no”. You are under no obligation to buy anything you don’t want to. You don’t owe them any allegiance or loyalty.
Thanks @77nick77
It’s going to be difficult but I read there is a case similar to me the same company give in and fully refunded. I want my money back.
I will use the public gym and swimming pool. It will be slower to get the service but would be much safer.
