I think it could be really helpful for everyone with mental illness.

yeah but its not, something administered, or a substance. i want something simple and direct which corrects schizophrenia. the underlying biological cause.

however if this ct convinces my pdoc to let me go off my meds then it is a good thing.

this is an old ass article btw, why ru posting it after so many yrs?

This isn’t totally about cbt but at support group you meet a lot who are mentally ill but definitely at a healthy place in their lives. According to the mental health class right now “that’s what it means to recover.” I think support groups, cbt, etc. can really get people started on the recovery process. Life can get better after mental illness whether or not you have it all atm.

Well my psychologist told me CBT was useless for me, so I found this interesting. Didn’t actually look at the date it was written.

The evidence base for CBT-P is very weak.

I did cbt and take medication.
