Currently I have no constipation or diarrhea on 6mg Risperdal. I had diarrhea on Abilify and a bit on Latuda. I read that Clozapine can cause constipation. Anyone have constipation on Clozapine? How do you deal with it?

Yes I have constipation on Clozapine. I am prescribed stool softeners.

All I take other then Clozapine is Zyprexa, Invega, and Cymbalta.

I take clozapine and I have bad constipation from it. Probably doesn’t help that I’m always dehydrated.

My stool hardened a little I think with clozapine. I am taking docusate to soften my stool. I don’t think I get any side effects from the stool softener.

How’s Clozapine so far? Better than Latuda for you?
It’s too early to tell. It is a little bit sedating but I hope it gets better. I’m never up all night like I was on latuda. I have some motivation to do things. I am still taking some latuda also. I sleep a little more but I think I might be able to wake up earlier with an alarm. I never talk to myself on it so far. My neutrophils dropped and then came back up a bit. I gained a little weight haven’t weighed myself.

I go to the toilet every morning, easily.

I’ve been taking clozapine for 2 years

I shite easily on risperidone. I didnt shite si easily on haldol or quietiapinw. It was like trying to shite out a dead babys head
