twenty years ago when i wasnt taking meds my halucinatuons were so vivid i couldnt tell if my eyes were open or closed one night

While I was hallucinating with eyes closed, the song on the radio said “with eyes closed”. It’s a sign. At that time I was seeing virgin Mary with Jesus in her lap and their heads were on fire

I get random light patterns and swirls. Found out that was from the retina or optic nerve never shutting down for anyone.

I get really vivid, lifelike dreams though

I’ve had these, they are scary as anything because you actually see them against the back of your eyelids as opposed to a ‘mind image’ when your eyes are opened.

I saw my two dead kitties (we adopted them together) from a few decades ago. They were curled up by each other.

Once I saw a flock of doves, once I saw Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I once saw what looked like a few seconds of Minecraft gameplay (in a tunnel with the cobblestone brick patterns).

Luckily they are rare, occurring maybe one night out of every sixty. Almost always when I am drifting off to sleep.

Some of my hallucinations are so pleasant, it makes it a real dagger to the back during the uncommon but inevitable time when they all turn on me.

I once saw a news cast. Hours later I turned on the TV and sure enough, the exact same thing was being broadcast in real-time.

i used to get them all day long. itd be like mid day and I could see it in my minds eye with my eyes open. thats how i knew it was happening then i could just close my eyes and it was like a crazy vivid movie.
