Climate Change

There’s a wee bit of a difference between a forum community where anyone on earth can post whatever they like and a regular column contribution to a website. It would be like using sz.com as a reference if they gave Daimon a regular column on the front page.

The whole ‘guilt by association’ ploy is a cop out and you know it.

I have been looking for evidence of global warming or climate change for several years-some of it in NJ, where I lived for 23 years, and now, in Maryland where I moved last year. On the surface of things, I haven’t seen anything like what the media are talking about. If I were adventurous, I would take a trip around the globe and look with my own eyes. No hurricanes along the eastern seaboard this past year. If you play into the media global warming-climate change hype, you will agree that temperatures are rising in your area, simply by letting yourself be influenced by what they are saying. Of course, it’s difficult to say that the reports are doctored or that Hollywood is doing it. You have to believe the more powerful reports, such as that the North Pole has melted, or that some islands are underwater now. In my denial, I say the reports about flooding, etc. are skewed to reflect the point of view-most of it is simply happening the way it has for thousands of years.

Funny, really smart scientists devoting their lives to studying the climate say it’s real but all these laymen deny it. Gee, I’m not sure who to trust.

Not as many as you’d like. There’s a fair amount of dissent in the ranks, and a good many AGW scientists wish that Hockey Stick Guy would ■■■■ as he’s making them look bad. Here’s a good read for you:

Lots of meaty quotes from actual AGW scientists.
