Here where I am it is quite typical winter weather, very cold, temperatures -25 and below Celsius, there is no sign of global warming here, why should I believe in the climate change?
If you look at the big picture, you’re in one tiny place on Earth out of 365 days in the year. I don’t think that represents the Earth’s temperature in general. There are many variables.
Well where I am from there has been little else but a dusting one night and its the middle of January.
I look at global warming this way. We are altering the atmosphere in the planet by burning things. How much we are altering it, personally I don’t know. But shouldn’t we try to make a small footprint? To not alter the atmosphere of the planet?
Because climate change is a global epidemic that is causing terrible and drastic consequences all over the world. Just because it’s not affecting you directly doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about the rest of the worlds enviroments and ecosystems.
co2 and other gases get trapped in the atmosphere and these gasses are proven to be heat trapping gasses. so the more fossil fuels we burn the more heat gets trapped. greenhouse effect
Why should I believe in global warming?
I don’t think it really matters. Global warming is happening even if you don’t believe in it.
You should believe in climate change because it is the consensus of 97% of the reputable scientists in the world who study such matters. It’s hard for me to believe that we can burn 20 million barrels of oil a day in the U.S. alone and not affect the climate. That’s not including coal fired electricity plants and industrial pollution. Believe me, there is nothing I would like better than for you to be right, but I know you’re wrong.
…anything? (The key word here being believe.)
If one stops and considers the matter, should we believe in anything? Or should we use our eyes and ears to look and listen to the flow of what is (instead other people’s opinions about it)?
A little digging and research on the matter would help you in your beliefs. I’m not advocating it, the negativity of it it’s not good for us I think, but it’s good to be down to earth and know what we can do to stop it from home. I try my best.
Volcanoes burn a lot more than us
i have to disagree. volcanic activity produces 1% of co2 emissions compared to humans
I meant they burn more. Didn’t mean anything to do with c02
I live in a part of the world where the air hurts my face for half of the year. I wish like hell there was global warming. I’m all for it.

there is global warming in my lungs after a life time of smoking cough cough…
I don’t believe 97% of the scientists believe that, to start with. ![]()

Where I live we have recorded the highest temperatures ever this summer. Last week it reached 43 degrees C. Some places in South Africa were as hot as 48 degrees C. After this summer I believe in global warming yeah.
According to the abstract of this paper the consensus on global warming is real. It just takes issue with the statistical methods used. It says there is no doubt that there is overwhelming agreement that global warming is anthropogenic, and that this agreement is correct.
Where else to go? How about the fact that satellite measurements don’t show global warming? How about the fact that the computer models that all showed warming by now are broken? How about the fact that the scientists responsible for those models refuse to release their data and allow other scientists to duplicate their work, which is how science used to work? The whole thing looks and smells crooked.

What’s the aim of 97% of scientists regarding global warming, to laugh maniacally about their lies to the public only to be uncovered and foiled by a small team of schizophrenics? If there is no God who will step in, as so many claim, then the world only has one shot at this and better get it right.
It’s not only global warming, that is in fact melting the ice in the poles, making water levels rise. We feel it here in Portugal. It’s climate change in general, I don’t know who said it up there on the thread but I think someone did, with all the polution going on how could the climate not change?
