Just wondering - if there’s link between altered circadian rhythm and sz/sza…
I’ve always been a night owl, going to bed around midnight, but over last month it’s stretched almost every night to 2am or even 3am. I’d be up all night if I wasn’t worried about my health.
And being awake at night I sleep in day from sunrise to 9:30am and again from noon to 3pm
Is this common with sz/sza or other mental illnesses or is it normal with people?
I could easily be a night shift worker lol!
It’s 01:17 here and I’m still wide awake. Getting bored though. Maybe watch TV if there’s anything on - or else I’d be forced to go sleep.
I had the same problem before I started Abilify 10 years ago. I used to sleep through the day and up all night. Don’t know what caused it but Abilify is the only med to stop it.
Mima and I tended to be rather short of sl,eep. Because you would not go to bed early, had to have one of us stay with you until you went to sleep and tended to w,ake up with nightmares
In late middle age: Still often not going to bed till the early hours of the morning.
develop a fixed sleep schedule at night and avoid naps during day it will help you to fall asleep and wake at fixed times. any nap taken during other times can affect the night sleep so avoid naps as much as you can.
