I really dont think it is a mere chemical imbalance if that were the case all people would subjected to the same hallucination under the same imbalanced condition. The hallucination would also be temporary and not permanent. There is definitely more at work here, people just like to think they understand things.
More likely gene abnormality
Got into a heated debate on another forum re chemical imbalance/genetic cause model. I think it applies to some but there are other pathways to psychosis/schizophrenia that may need other approaches.
That wasn’t good enough for those who are completely anti the mainstream approach.
i dont think i agree that they are just imbalanced everywhere in the brain. i think its like an imbalance in certain areas od our brain but not all att he same time, thats why i think meds feel so bad when you take them becsuse there are good sections of the brain too. probably just the sensory and emotional part of our brain only.
