Yes I posted my song and this one guy was hating hardcore. Another guy said it wasn’t really his style but it was good nevertheless . Tbh I think they’re acting mad lol. It was a sick track. The one I showed you in the pm.

One guy said it could do with effects and mixing and it’d be a lot better. Oh well I have a thick skin. The guy was hating saying I’m offbeat so I said “I guess I’m bluefacing it. Thanks for your feedback”. Or something

Yeah Ive posted beats there before and they shot it down also. I wouldnt worry about it theyre pretty elitist I think. Didnt think that was possible with rap lmao

Your delivery was fire man, of all the things they couldve chosen to pick on I think they took the strongest one imo. Thats dumb.

I usually post my stuff on r/fl_studio now, theyre way more helpful and constructive

Even if I’m not there yet, I believe in the power of improvement. And if this track isn’t it. As long as the next song keeps improving I’m all good. Thanks I really appreciate it. But they can’t say anything good about it?? Lol there’s some talented people there but yeah they’re mad for some reason. That’s not what I’m about. We should be supporting each other in a community. Constructive criticism not just you can’t do anything. How long have u been making music and how old are you @zwolfgang

I showed my mom our song and she showed my aunt. Maybe it’s spreading now

I agree, constructive criticism is key, not just pointing out whats wrong but suggest how to make it better. If we lift people up who are trying to make it, who knows they might make it big

Ive been playing guitar since I was 12 but really only written songs and stuff after I got diagnosed about a year ago, and Im 23 now. Wbu?

Thats great! Im really proud of the job we did man I showed it to my dad which Ive never done before

Also I bought my DAW a few months ago and thats been a gamechanger for me

My mom says it was her favorite cuz it followed a story/topic/theme etc… that my other songs don’t always. It’s harder I think when you got every verse and have to carry the entire song. She also pointed out there was no mention of drugs. Maybe one semi subliminal in my verse but my mom hates drugs. She knows what I do now (nothing but medical marijuana) and knows I’m just doing it for effect and theory and stuff she still doesn’t like it when I talk about it. Sometimes I try not to talk about it sometimes I can’t help myself. So much 420 culture slang that I know.

That’s cool. You’re young you got time to do whatever. I’m 29 I probably made my first song at 23 your age and trust me yours is better at that age lol. Work hard practice makes perfect. And don’t let people bring you down.!! I was avoidant of critics for years. Now I’m like whatever. It is what it is. And I face em. If you act cool to them but not like a pushover you’re good.

Im glad she liked it! Only reason I didnt mention drugs is I didnt think to lol so I guess shed be a lil bit disappointed. But dont worry, I caught that little “poison strain” bit in there

I actually like the referenced to drugs in your raps a lot because I can relate to it, for awhile in college I used everything I could get my hands on, short of heroin. So I guess it speaks to me

I got told that by my guitar teacher the other day when I was down on myself. Im feeling a lot better since he told me that and Im glad youre reinforcing it because I do have a hard time sometimes. So it means a lot, thanks man

Honestly though that track is not bad, the lyrics are pretty strong. But damn is the mixing godawful haha. Youve come a looong way on both that and your delivery, you just put so much more energy into it now I love it.

I appreciate you showing me that man that makes me feel like I can improve vocal wise too

Also, get an idea that I was out of my mind when I made this song. And it only got worse before it got better my 2013 was almost as good as my 2015-16 stuff. Well my flow improved but my lyrics digressed. Now I’m improving to where I should be again. All those dark years gave me content to talk about, but there’s nothing like a healthy mind for creativity.

Absolutely, I used to think I could only make music/play guitar while fkd up, but now I see it was holding me back from what I could really do.

Thats the thing man Im really impressed by the lyricism of that rap, Im not even remotely close to that and Ive been practicing - but that was your first one! You got a secret sauce for lyrics dude Im telling you keep it safe
