Producers hit me up on SoundCloud and say they wanna work with me or they like a song I made. It’s almost always producers that message me. But it’s good people see potential in me. They Think my song “for the gods” was really sick

I emailed them asking if I can do it with them
For free or if I have to pay. I tried to be chill about it and said if i have to pay its gotta have to wait a few months because I’m broke until I get a new job.
Hopefully. I think hopefully when the time is right for me both financially it will also be musically right too.

I’m not sure if when these artists come to me they wanna work together or just sell me their beats. Well that’s why you ask questions. Separate the true people who believe in you from the few trying to make a quick buck.
But key is to be friendly because you wouldn’t wanna build too bad of a reputation. Especially me i feel I gotta act stable!! If you wanna put it in mental health terms.

If you know you’re gonna be successful it’s a different story. You wanna pay every time. But in a grassroots type effort maybe you don’t wanna pay at first until you have dollar$ coming in.
