Cbd oil & olanzapine interactions & experiences

Hi,
Just wondering about cbd oil & olanzapine interactions & your experiences , is it safe generally or only in smaller amounts, do doctors recommend this as a treatment for schizophrenia? I know there has been a few trials done that seem positive

Thanks.

I’m on olanzapine and vraylar. I tried cbd and I had no interactions. Cbd was a waste of money, it didn’t do anything for me.

Just to add something, how about if slowly gradually stopping olanzapine then switching to Cbd oil only, also can a doctor in the U.K prescribe Cbd oil? We maybe would like to try, is Cbd available in tablet form.

Ok interesting result cheers

The cbd disrupted my sleep. Cbd on it’s own won’t work for most people if you have sz.

CBD did nothing to me and i’m on olanzapine, but i have got at SZ friend who only takes CBD and it apparently works for him like an AP

I guess it’s to mild for me, i need “the big hammer”

cbd is like snake oil in regards to sz. not saying it doesnt help some stuff but for sz its super expensive the doses required and even then its not proven to work and from lots of peoples experience it seems to have no effect

How’s Vraylar been for you? I believe my pdoc wants to introduce it as a get off clozapine (hopefully)

I’m on a very low dosage. Olanzapine is what’s keeping me stable.

Vraylar has been a good med. There only side- effect I have is heartburn.

I want to say that I disagree. Yes it is expensive, yes it is unproven. I don’t think there is a large effect size for positives but I think it can help more so with stress and agitation. I think because it is new and expensive people expect the world from this medication that is why you are getting negative reports along with the very small effect size. That said it might not be cost effective
