I read the summary. There is apparently a link between cat ownership and sz.

I told it my mom and she doesn’t believe it. She thinks it’s bollocks.

There is a need for more high-quality studies in this field.

The study states that more research must be done.

I’ve had cats since I was a kid. So for me there is a correlation. But I don’t know if I believe it. I just hope that people don’t kick out their cats because of these studies.

The theory is that it’s this parasite that makes us sick.

There are vaccines against it!

Could be. We had a cat when I was small. A sick cat that pooped everywhere. I’ve wondered about it before.

Even if the cat is the problem…what factor makes one fall ill, and the other not? Why do so very many people carry this cat infection (toxoplasmosis). And only we get sick?

Doctors will tell you that expecting mothers should not go near or clean cat litter boxes.

I wonder if u can get toxoplasmosis from cat pee. I took a bite of food soaked in cat pee as a kid just a short time before i eneded up on antipsychotics. Not saying i was normal before that. I wasnt. But still.

You can also get toxoplasmosis from undercooked shellfish and meats, gardening, and unwashed vegetables. Lots and lots of ways to contract it. Not just cats.

Non-credible, biased site.

The site has references to the actual studies, why don’t you read the studies?

Because I work tomorrow.
