Cat or dog? (Who wins?)

I do plan to get a pet in the future and… for some reason, I’d give preference to cats, because of their independence and… somehow they often seem to love me more than dogs do! But whenever I see dogs, I always smile and want to cuddle them. Just can’t help it. Both require quite a lot of care, and I think with my busy life it would be easier to take care of a cat.

Which one do you like more? What would you recommend?

My boy friend wants a dog.

Dogs are so funny and if u train them well they may behave

If we are rich we will get a dog

Make sure you have a litter box. But cats are much more easy to take care of than dogs. They’re not as affectionate though.

if I didn’t have to house train the dog, I would prefer a dog. I just am not going to be bothered to how to train a dog. So that’s why I aim for cats.

I have both a dog and a cat.
Cats are easier to take care of but you still have to change their litter box everyday, take them to the vets at least once a year (after their vaccinations)
You should play with them as they’re kittens.
Make sure they are fed and give them fresh water every day.
Of course I love my dog but he requires more attention and more work.

We have a golden retriever – they’re a lot of work, but extremely loyal and loving dogs.

I don’t mind cats, though. Their independence is a major positive

@anon92236671,you are too busy to take dog.

I think it’s up to you,but with your work schedule, it’s better to get a cat. Cats are more independent …

I’m a tortoise and reptile guy through and through, but I LOVE dogs. I like my sister’s cat, but am not really into them as a pet for me. From what I hear they’re less demanding than dogs but still require time.

My recommendation is to get a corn snake. Great first snake, calmer demeanor, great eaters, and they’re beautiful. :snake::snake::snake:

After giving it some thought, the simplest choice would be to get a little fish! It doesn’t require too much care and can live on its own…(the one in pic)

When I was little, we had an aquarium! I liked it, though of course, you can’t cuddle or pet fish

But if I had to choose between the two – cats have a calming effect on me, and while they’re little, I find it fascinating to watch them grow… Plus, a good, calm, and sociable cat can even outshine a dog! Unfortunately, it’s a lottery. Kittens demand more attention, and only as they grow do their true character traits start to show, and so on. @anon12167935

I don’t see an issue with you adopting an older kitten/ young cat @anon92236671
While you are working they can remain in the house unattended for many hours at a time.
