I voted cats because that’s what I’ve had in my adult life, but I adore playing with dogs when I’m out walking.

Cats.
Dogs require work.
Keep a litter box clean your doing easy work with a cat…and they are curious animals.
Much like humans in that you need to develop a relationship with a cat. Dogs follow the leader.
No slight. I like dogs but for a sz person a cat is a great companion as most of us are isolationists and it’s always good to have some company!

cats are low maintenance and more independent than dogs (most of them at least).
ive never had a cat but have had 2 dogs at different times over the last 13 or so years. i like dogs even tho they are alot of work, but maybe one day in the far future i will rescue a cat

I don’t like pitting cats against dogs. Both are amazing. I voted cats because I have 6, but I wish I could have a dog too. It’s a lot of work and the cats would be pissed.

A lovely cute little 2 year old orange and white tabby, Colette and a brand new almost 4 month old black and tan French bulldog, Echo who is adorable!
I love both cats and dogs but cats are so much easier to take care of
Dogs especially puppies are a lot of work but I’ve always been a dog person but now I love cats too!
One of my Dad’s cats.
I don’t have either and I don’t prefer either because too much responsibility.
If the cat is sociable, then I prefer cats.

I have a dog and two cats and I prefer the dog. The cats are good cats but they poop on the floor every day. I don’t know why they won’t use the cat boxes. We even got a kiddie pool and filled it with cat litter and they still poop on the floor every day.

Love both. To me, both are humanity’s friend and deserve love and protection from humans because we domesticated them. I’d say the same thing about horses, though, I’ve never owned one before. To me, those three animals we shouldn’t kill for any reason other than to maybe protect our livestock and pets. But we definitely should not eat them.
