Carrying the light - suddenly I'm 'mum'

My mum has now totally closed down with my youngest sister still living at her address after 7 years in psychosis
my sister has stopped drinking and smoking but has no insight and is on the sz spectrum
they are alone in a flat with the blinds shut and hardly ever any light and sometimes heat because my sister wants to help the planet and is paranoid of the people in the same block and area

3 problem children I am the only one who is in remission from schizophrenia - our middle sister also schizophrenic died age 25 after 12 years in psychosis

my mum is basically gone
she is able to stop being absolutely in breakdown mode until she is 24 h into a break which I give her just by being there and carrying the light / and take some of the load off
it is like an emergency for my mum every week until I can be there for 48h once a week

In the meantime my sister has not spoken to mum for a month and will now only talk to me

and the rest of the time I live with my husband who has autism and lives with me as a recluce other than work

I want to find a carers holiday for my mum
and a carer’s group for me

I’m Schizophrenic. 13 years in remission

Could you apply for your sister to get a case worker or call a crisis intervention team?

Wow, that sounds really overwhelming on you guys. I don’t know how things work over there, but I hope someone is able to give you some resources. Good luck.

Oh I’m sorry @Three.
I wish I was of more help.

Yeah try to find your sister a qualified case manager.

It’s sounds like your family has been hit hard. Can relate.
