My anxiety/crying was fine on clobazam 20mg. But i started sleeping all day after some time of taking it.
So we reduced clobazam from 20 to 15mg. And the sleepiness has gone away but I’m feeling like anxious/crying now.
Pdoc declined to stop clobazam.
I was thinking maybe we can add low dose of clonazepam(klonopin) to my current benzo ?
My pdoc had me on ativan 2mg and clonazepam 2 mg for about 3 months. So it does happen. But then one day he blamed me for being on 2 benzos and acted like he knew nothing of it and took one of them away. So that also says no more than 1 benzo should be prescribed.
Probably is up to the discretion of the doc.
It could go away after a while as you could be going through withdrawals.
I’ve been on two before. However the pharmacist would lecture me about it every time I picked it up. You need to make sure you’re taking them at the same time. Spread them out.
What if u wanted to increase the dose of your benzo but cant due to side effects ?
Would adding 2nd low dose benzo makes sense ?
No. I wouldn’t do it.
Only 0.5 mg of Klonipin prn seems to stop my anxiety related lip pressing. I press my lips so bad a lot of times that I practically wear a hole in the side of my mouth. I just hate this terrible habit but, I’ve had it for 50 years and I guess there’s no stopping it now.
I would steer away from taking 2 different benzos at the same time.
Not a good idea.
