Well, a hot shower is both refreshing and relaxing, which can lower anxiety.

I have cameras on me in my bathroom but I’m learning to just put it out of my mind while I shower. I wish I weren’t being followed and recorded. It sucks.

Anyway, I feel good after a hot shower because I’m fresh and clean.

If I shower, shave, and brush my teeth I can remove myself from a psychotic episode. My psychotic episode is caused by anxiety.

Note that if you will take many showers a day take cold ones. Hot showers remove your natural skin protection oily layer. I take about 4 showers a day, cold. Unless in the winter when I take one shower maybe 2 per day hot. Hot showers are good to decrease arterial pression by a bit so it might be helpful when trying to get out of a stressful situation.

I take a hot shower when I feel tense. It helps my muscles to relax.

I used to have a serious problem with voices in the shower before I landed on Zyprexa. They used to be so mean to me so I avoided showering a lot.

These days I venture outside more than I used to, and I have terrible dandruff if I don’t shower every single day, so I make it a point to shower every day I plan on going out.

I didn’t take a shower, but I changed clothes. That helped. The last time I took a shower was Wednesday. I’m going to take a shower either tonight or tomorrow morning. I’ve also been cleaning my room. I’m taking a break from that now. My room is in alarming shape. I have three cats, and I forgot to get kitty litter when we went to town last Wednesday. My brother is going to drop some off tomorrow. I’ve been spraying my cats’ litterbox with air freshener. It helps with the odor a lot. Life isn’t bad.

For me taking shower isn’t easy…
First, I don’t fit in bath tube, and second is my hips, one operated, one pending…
My bathroom is 3 square meters, with washing machine and toilet seat and boiler.
So it’s technicaly hard.
If I had bigger and renewed bathroom, I would sleep there…

I just feel refreshed afterwards. I always rinse with cool water and that leaves me with a tingly feeling.

It takes me a lot of effort to get in the shower. Once I am in I feel great and have no trouble washing myself. Afterwards I feel clean. I think showering is an essential part of looking after yourself. I just wish I were motivated.

What would they want from you? Do you have somekind of secret information that is of importance? Is it so important that they have to record you while you are taking showers? Or is it just this illness giving you ridiculous ideas?

I had a rough five days so finally showered today and I feel better…for now.
