This weekend I had sugar a lot. This coincided with really poor mental health - anxiety especially.
I normally don’t touch sugar so I ask can sugar cause anxiety?

Sugar in combination with high fat raises blood sugar substantially since the fat blocks glucose uptake pathways in the muscles, where the sugar is used up usually. That can cause anxiety.
If you are disciplined with a low-fat diet you can have high sugar days without it messing up your blood sugar levels, but most people are fairly high fat consumers so this isn’t a good idea.
I eat low fat daily, but enjoy a soda maybe once or twice a week without huge issue.
Did you get your depot last week ?
Maybe we can blame this on the full moon . I had a horrific few days too.
There’s always going to be bad days and good days though.
It definitely can. I usually avid sugar as much as possible because it makes me feel bad.
Ugh… I’m not feeling ok!!! I’m having bad dreams!!! I hope this is all a dream and I wake up tomorrow and don’t see any posts that look like spam. that way “good” people can join the mi community. Thanks!!!
I feel guilty but I just threw out my sugary food. It was making me ill. I thought a car outside was a locksmith to lock me in my flat to die of starvation.
Plus I binged and purged last night.
Overall totally ■■■■ weekend - @everhopeful I am with you on the full moon phenomenon
