Can I die from taking 3 types of ap?

my doctor said I could not have withdrawal symptoms from olanzapine 5 mg but still only had 3 months of taking this medicine when i was not taking sweats, restlessness, hallucinations. I would stop taking vraylar 3 mg most sweetly, I don’t like this medicine. I’m even taking amisuplride 400 mg.

I think there are some other people here who take up to 3 APs.

I also think this is a question for your doctor and pharmacist.

If your doctor thinks it’s ok to be on 3 AP’S then it should be fine

I’m on 300mg amisulpride and 5mg olanzapine as well. One of my pdocs wanted to put me on quetiapine as well but I told her I don’t want to.

3 at once does seem like a lot I’d maybe ask another doctor for a second opinion

No, the doctor told me not to take olanzapine anymore, but I have to because I don’t have psychotic symptoms. So I’m taking 5 mg of it. Have I been taking this medicine for 3 months and then stopped abruptly? I don’t think it’s a good idea

If you are only on 5 mg, and only for 3 months, the withdrawal shouldn’t be bad. Did your doctor tell you to stop taking it?

yes.but it was also like i was taking 10mg as the doctor said for a long time.

Oh, so you went from 10 mg to 5 mg? My doctor usually recommends waiting at least 2 months before reducing a dose. So, since it’s been 3 months for you, you should be okay. Can you ask if it’s possible for you to cut your 5 mg pill in half for a few weeks? Some pills can be cut, some can’t. But taking half of the 5 mg dose for a while might feel safer to you if your doctor says it is okay.

I don’t know what I should be :frowning:

I would trust your doctor. It sounds like they are being perfectly reasonable and safe with regard for the effects of withdrawal.

Listen to your doctors but sounds like overkill to me.
After all, antipsychotics work the same way.

They all block dopamine.

Short answer is yes if you read the lengthy list of side effects

Mine has sudden unexplained death on it.

As far as the pharmaceutical company is concerned, they’re covered no matter what it does to you, as you’ve been told.

This is listed as very rare on my AP, but it did make me chuckle a bit when I read it on the booklet.

You could get hit by a car tomorrow and die. Don’t worry yourself.

@FadeToBlack Which one is it? Here in Germany Abilify has that “side effect” in the leaflet.

Amisulpride.

To be fair, I think I have seen it listed in the 6 AP’s I have been on.
