The drugs you listed definitely have amazing recovery potentialities I don’t think that there’s any reason for you to believe that you will always be scarred by them

I didn’t but that’s just me. Everyone is different. Some psychosis only last until the drug leaves your system, I still had psychosis 7 months after stopping.

One time they told us in drug and alcohol treatment that “Once an addiction to a drug or alcohol becomes the entire focus of a person’s life, that person can recover only if staying off the addictive substance becomes the entire focus of their life.”

I believe drugs damaged my brain structure self-inflicted damage

sad really

I gave up drugs 20 years ago

Be proud of yourself, though. Overcoming an addiction is very difficult.

drugs I did was e tablets, weed, solvent abuse

Can you recover? I really dont know. Suppose it comes down to changing your outlook on life - and avoiding those groups of people that associate with drugs.

Booze is my demon. It gets me most months. But weed i can take it or leave it.

For me personally - ive seen people go downhill on drugs like crack, and yet they still lack the insight to admit they have got a problem. Seeing that - it puts me off Class A Drugs.

Alcohol does far more damage than weed.

I’ve done a lot of drugs and I do think you can recover.

Not everyone does,

And it takes a lot of time,

But you absolutely can.

Oh my God. That’s one you can’t come back from. Chronic solvent abuse causes progressive and permanent neurological injury - literally the death of brain matter.

I know, as I said I did foolish wrong things in my teens with false friends, one false is still on
heroin now

IMO everything I did wrong in life I paid for it

Yes, recovery is possible but it may take some time.
I finally got over the trauma I received from using mescaline in college at a frat party.

I was messed up psychologically from that bad trip for years.
