Here they say Buspar helps negative symptoms. Is this true?

I take haloperidol decanoate so that’s interesting to me. If I remember I’ll ask my dr about it

Buspar gave me a strange reaction. I got mega sensory overload. Didnt help for any negative symptoms which is why I tried it.

I take Buspar and have not felt it working on my negative symptoms.

Wellbutrin did this too? I think Wellbutrin did thia to me but never tried Buspar.

Yes welbutrin , buspar and ritalin all gave me the sensory overload issue.

I only tried welbutrin. My pdoc didnt want me to try ads because im pretty prone to mania. But when i was having a rough time last winter my doc wrote me a script for prozac but i never filled it.

So there is no AD that doesn’t worsen mania?
Its a risk for sure. You wouldnt know until you try.
I think @Wave had mania issues on antidepressants

I got mania and hypersexuality from 5htp, I only tried Wellbutrin too as my Dr refused prescribing me other ADs.

I hate mania more than psychosis. I find it hard to know when I have mania or have control/insight over it, controlling and preventing psychosis is much easier for me. The trap with mania is that it makes me feel good and energetic but risky and dangerous. I become dumb and impulsive wasting all my money and risking my life.

i take buspar it helps a little with agitation but it gives me head aches

Buspar caused weird dreams of radioactivity and kept waking me up at night. Good luck on it I hope it treats y’all better.
