Bupropion experiencia. Read This please

Hi. I would like to know what was your experience with bupropion. I have been prescribed but I do not encourage taking it for what they say that gives convulsions and easy paralysis. Those who have used it

I had no problem with bupropion. I took it with Zoloft for depression

I’m on 150 mg of the bupropion extended release right now. It was originally for my depression before I was diagnosed with sz, and tbh it was the only thing I had tried that helped my depression.

The problem, according to my pdoc, is that it is a dopamine agonist so it raises dopamine in the brain, which is what also causes psychosis and positive symptoms.

So bottom line, if you’re depressed and can’t get out of bed I recommend it (so long as you’re not prone to seizures), but for sz or any kind of psychosis it’ll probably cancel out some of the effect of your antipsychotic meds so it’s not worth it.

Thanks for your answer. Any noticeable side effect? I would take the same dose as you. To quit smoking.

I’ve always had good results with Welbutrin paired with an antipsychotic for many years. I never had any bad side effects from it. I’ve never had it make anything worse. It’s great for quitting smoking, too. Of course everybody’s different so it might be bad for some folks.

Sorry for the late reply lol didn’t see this till now. But if you’re still curious, I haven’t noticed a whole lot of serious side affects apart from a bit of insomnia at first (it’ll pass), some loss of appetite (this didn’t go away) and a slight restlessness and somewhat ADD-like symptoms that also go away eventually.

Interestingly enough I also smoked at the time and I quit accidentally haha! It really does work for that I could take or leave nicotine after being on it, though I was a light smoker and not that addicted yet so your mileage may vary. Hope this helps!
