Do you have any experience in taking Wellbutrin?

I’m going to see my Pdoc for depression. I may ask the doctor to put me on Wellburein. I’m wondering if any of you having the experience of taking Wellbutrin. Does it cause insomnia or constipation?

It increases dopamine, so I found it much more stimulating than SSRI medication. I had insomnia on it, extreme anxiety, erectile dyafunction. I quit after a week on it. Its not a good antidepressant for me. At first i felt high but then turned into anxiety.

It was great for depression, but it turned my audio hallucinations (voices) mean. I got hounded and bullied until about two weeks after I stopped taking it. That was a couple months ago, voices haven’t been mean since. I’m on Cymbalta now instead.

Wellbutrin also helps lower cravings for cigarettes. I smoked half as much when I was on it. Just gotta keep a close eye on your hallucinations to make sure it doesn’t aggravate them.

I tried Wellbutrin years ago, back in the 1990’s, to quit smoking. I don’t remember there being any side effects, other than I wasn’t successful in quitting smoking.

I had a bad reaction to it. I don’t remember what now but it wasn’t good.

I take it occasionally. I get it prescribed regularly. my pdoc doesn’t care if i only take it some days

It was so bad that Wellbutrin had caused so many bad side effects to you. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

This was very scary. I will be cautious if my Pdoc put me on Wellbutrin.

From what other people said about Wellbutrin, this med is very dangerous. Glad you only take it occasionally.

It made me angry and didn’t help in anything.

Wellbutrin made me very agitated.

I take Wellbutrin and I like it since it stops my depression.

I have history of seizures, so pdoc told me i cant take it in my case.

Yes, I saw some information about Wellbutrin on WebMd which says seizure is one of the possible side effects of Wellbutrin.

i took 50 mg daily. I went off of it when I began doubling up and abusing it.

This was before I got on aps to address my core symptoms
