BPD symptoms

I relate to most of them
-> impulse control issues
-> delusions
-> mood swings
-> feeling empty/boredom
-> paranoia

Could I have BPD?

those issues all blend into the spectrum of mental health issues. So just wait like half a year to see how things go.

Diagnosis often changes over time. Important to take the medications and move from there. Listen to and trust your doctors. Don’t stress about labels as they often change over time.

Yeah I’m taking the meds as prescribed

People say they aren’t working yet though :confused:

Usually takes time. 4-6 weeks to see noticeable improvement on psych meds. Meanwhile relax.

I’ve been on it 3 weeks so yeah ig ;/

I havent been misdiagnosed and I already have an autism diagnosis
I personally do not believe in mild autism or ā€œfemale version of autismā€, im mid functioning myself (not low, obviously)

I also might have autism but the testing is super expensive here. Bleh.

@Crystal-Cotton did your doctor mention bpd? If you are not 18 yet, they may not diagnose you.
Also diagnosis changes all the time. I got re-dxed with psychotic depression after 7 years of having schizophrenia.

no they didnt mention it
:confused:

Hmm, okay. If you have bpd, the dialectic behavioural therapy is very helpful. I have CPTSD, which is similar to bpd symptoms. DBT helped me a lot.

If you are not yet 18, they may not diagnose you with a personality disorder. Also, diagnosis don’t really matter. What matters is that you’re getting the right treatment you need. :heart:

well the only therapy im getting now is talking with a nurse and APs so ehh

That’s a good step. Maybe once you get out they might refer you to more comprehensive therapies.

You’re in good hands. Once step at a time.

I got out already…

They were to show that there has been a fair amount of research about autism and bpd. As for no such thing as ā€˜mild autism’ . That would depend on the definition of ā€˜mild’/whether ASD symptom can fall into that category or not.

My Asperger’s dx taken in isolation would point to my being on the mild end of the spectrum . However throwing sz-a into the mix means that i’m not necessarily functioning in a way that would be indicative of ā€˜mild autism’

Oh.

Okay here’s what I could suggest: when you see your psychiatrist next time, talk to them and see if you can get into any therapies.

yeah i guess
i got diagnosed with Aspergers but I have never been functioning in a way typical of ā€œmild autismā€
and its not my psychosis because I havent been psychotic since birth
