I’ve never been much of a reader specifically since it’s always been my toughest subject but I want to change that and get more into books and suggestions?
I like fantasy and sci fi because it’s just relaxing and not serious. If you want an easy book read “The Hobbit” by Tolkien. It’s a kids book but it’s an easy starter…after that you move to “The Lord of the Rings”. It’s a grand fantasy and it’s a very good read. It’s strictly fantasy but it’s good and I’d recommend them both if you want something that isn’t too serious!
I’m actually into science fiction and fiction I own the Harry Potter series. I tried getting into the Lord of the rings in high school couldn’t get into it
Well for the same reasons…try anything by Ray Bradbury. Classic American sci fi…he even downgraded the tech delibrately to call the spaceships rockets and such. His short story collections are great and an easy read. Varied between pure sci fi and horror and much akin to the old twilight zone episodes on tv.
Thoroughly recommended by myself!
The One by John Marrs
I’ve read loads of great books but can’t remember the title or authors
Richard and Judy book club recommend a lot of good reads
The Percy Jackson series is really good. It’s a kids series but I love it to bits.
I usually like anything by John Grisham. If you want something literary, “All the King’s Men” by Robert Penn Warren is good.
Disney comics.
Well if you like science fiction I really recommend Philip K. Dick’s Ubik or Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Ubik is a little bit of a mind twister though.
And “Do Androids…” is kinda more easier to get into. I consider it probably his most accessible book. They based the movie Blade Runner off of it. And now Amazon video has a series out now based on it.
I’d safely say though you can’t really go wrong with anything by Philip K. Dick.
