Body dysmorphia

I haven’t been diagnosed or anything and maybe I misunderstand what it means- but I’ve lost 45 pounds in the last couple years and I still feel like I look the same when I look in the mirror… I’m feeling depressed about it. The only way I feel better is if I do a side by side photo, then I see how different I look.

Are you still trying to lose more weight?

I’ve also lost a bit of weight but I still don’t feel amazing about my body cos I want to get further down to a certain weight. Maybe you’ve just got a perfectionist attitude about your body weight like me

Yes- id like to lose another 14 pounds to be exact. Maybe you’re right and it’s just cause I haven’t hit my goal weight yet… I’m still considered overweight for my height so I could lose some more weight. @Butterflyy

That’s not too much weight you’ve got left to lose, well done for getting there gradually you’re doing a really good job…

Just see it as a countdown to make it feel like yay things are gonna work out with your weight. I’ve noted in my tiny organiser when I expect to be my target weight so I can be excited to get there :))

Slowly but surely I suppose… lol. But thank you! It’s been a long process.

Good idea! I need to get more active too to speed things up.
How long till you expect to hit your goal weight? If you don’t mind me asking @Butterflyy

@anon61987434,

It was initially November, but I may need to recalculate it since I plan on getting a lower bmi now so it is maybe December?

Yes I wish I could jog… If you can do that that’s, a really good one for physical activity and weight loss :pensive:

I go walking 5 times per week atm anyways. Hopefully I can maintain it

Niiiiice. Hope you succeed with your goal!

And ahh I’m way too lazy to jog😭 lol
I need to go walking more! Good on you for going walking so much! @anon90843118
