I’m feeling down, I can’t control my eating habits, no matter what I do.
I do well for a couple of days then I have multiple weeks of binge eating at night.
I really need to lose weight. I’m way too heavy for my height… but I cant seem to stick to a diet.
Anyone else struggle with binge eating disorder? Any weight loss success stories?
Thanks

Maybe your diet is too restrictive for weight loss and its causing you to gorge on all the foods you used to like?
Im more of a calories in calories out for food. I still eat junk but i try and make sure to balance it with some exercise.
I dropped about 15 pounds in a couple month recently. Lots of speed walks and just cut out sugary drinks and tried to eat moderately healthy.

First, you’ve lost a lot of weight and should be super proud.
You have no reason to be down on yourself.
Second, let yourself have some treats.
You’re less likely to go crazy and eat everything if you don’t feel deprived.
I recently gave up sugar and alcohol.
It super sucks.
But I need like, a little sugar or I’m going to die.
So I put it in my coffee in the morning as a reward for not having had sugar the previous day.
You’re doing good.
Don’t worry about it too much.

Yeah it’s hard work for me. Still. I have found sticking to a regular diet and keeping it tasty but simple works well. And have treats. I tend to cook a simple staple like rice then add some protein or vege. Change it up so it’s not too boring so you can still eat good.
Don’t beat yourself up over it as your doing well. Hang in there and tweek the diet a bit…I’m sure you’ll get there.

Just don’t keep that much food in the house certainly not foods that lead you to binge like fatty or sugary Foods
Fat and sugar might as well be drugs

Do you eat clean foods? You can google the satiety ratio of food.
Too restrictive may be another cause.
Having a pattern and eating only when it’s time to eat is good too.
