I was only on one that I personally didn’t like.

Which was risperdone, or risperdal

I like abilify which I’m on now, but every drug has caused my appetite to increase, which has caused weight gain… maybe I could try KarXT when it’s released, I heard it’s not like the others

Worst ap is no ap. Best AP is I guess the one the doctor prescribed. Just my opinion. It’s like asking which food is best. Depends on the situation. Sugary food is best if your blood sugar is low. Meat is best if your iron is low etc.

I’ve only tried 2 AP’s. Abilify and Olanzapine.

Abilify didn’t do much for me. Olanzapine is stronger and decreased my paranoia and delusions much better.

Well not quite like food?

Seroquel has highest mortality rate

Long acting injectables are less side effects than pills

2nd gen are higher risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome

Personally Clozapine i was very stiff and didn’t feel myself, clopixol im numb emotionally and suicidal regularly. Abilify and Seroquel weight gain and abilify ocd was bad. Dipixol and amisulpride caused high prolactin levels so dr took me off those

I realise everyone is different and its not an exact science which is why i asked for info from people

I googled a bit about meds tonight and there side effects etc im considering coming off them completely because i am struggling feeling emotionless and sexual nonexistent and other side effects. I just wish I’d never started them

I don’t know about absolutely worst, but in a red yellow green system here’s my rankings

Red: asenapine/Saphris, ziprasidone/geodon, risperidone, quetiapine/Seroquel, olanzapine/zyprexa, latuda

Yellow: haloperidol/haldol, paliperidone/invega, perphenazine/trilafon

Green: aripiprazole/abilify, brexpiprazole/rexulti, lumateperone/caplyta

Zeldox didn’t work for me!!!

Best: abilify. Barely any side effects.

Worst: invega. Lost all motivation and enjoyment.

Everyone is different – someone’s favorite/best med, might be someone else’s least favorite/worst med. A lot of trial and error involved

For me, the best was/is Latuda/Invega cuz they have little side effects and the worst was Loxapine cuz it made me sleep all the time.
