What strength of Rexulti are you on? Did you start on a low dose and increase?

Yea its better to stick to what works in my experience bcz there isn’t any meds for negative symptoms. I had life-threatening side effects from switching meds and an antidepressant made me worse, not being able to work, called Wellbutrin. I stopped it a couple months ago and I still can’t work. I worked for 9 consecutive months before taking Wellbutrin. I lost my concentration and I became paranoid fearing work place and workers there bcz of Wellbutrin.

Has anyone else been on beyond max doses? It took 30mg zyprexa to get me out of the hospital and I was on that dose for about 6 months after, they gave and then prescribed me a 20mg+10mg. I years later found out it was an illegal dose and the max was 20mg.

I like perphenazine the best for me. Used to be abilify, but it stopped working for me when I went off it the first time.

@Om_Sadasiva has taken the most, he took 90mg of Abilify, max is 30, and 16mg Risperdal, max is 6-8(?).

I like Aristada. It’s a tweaked version of Abilify. Especially for schizophrenia and schizoaffective. On it I have all my emotions back and can make myself do things. A lot better than Invega for me.

I vote for this, but if they had to force feed me one id go with abilify

I hated invega. I got soooo paranoid on that one. Is aristada atypical or is it one of the newer not actually atypical ones?

The best AP is the one that works for you.
For me it’s Risperdal.

I’m still trying to find my best AP. I know Invega wasn’t it. But I havn’t been on Abilify long enough to tell if it is the best for me.

I’ve tried a lot of AP including Riserpidone which is my actual AP.
Zyprexa is ok for me but it made me gain weight a lot !
abilify made me very nervous, anxious and excited. It was disastrous.

Clozapine has made the most difference. I take a combination of Clozapine and Ziprasidone.

I was on 30 mg Zyprexa for a while.
I was sedated in that dose Im not that on 20 mg.

The best AP for me is Risperdal…tried many others but Risperdal has been the most effective and the safest for me.

Risperdal 4mg is the only med that really works without any side effects for me. I tried 3 others and an antidepressant, they just made me worse.

Paliperidone was very effective. But some bad side effects. Now I take abilify. Have some paranoia but no side effects. Not sure which one is best.

For me, Geodon has been the best, by far. Seroquel is also good for me.
