I’ve been reading a bit about Aleister Crowley the last couple of days and he supposedly was a practitioner of “black magick” and “sex magick”. I personally don’t believe in “magick”, but was curious if anyone else does? 
I was deep into crowley in my teenage years, mega goth, I do believe in magick, all kinds, I work with herbs and seeds and such but I don’t dabble in black or sex magick, I love wicca
What makes you believe? Have you seen people cast spells that resulted in what they were wanting?
What do you think about Crowley? It seems like a lot of people hate him, but he didn’t seem like such a bad guy to me.
I believe the energy you put fourth… you get back…
but as far as manipulating a situation across the world by having Sex with a group of people… no I don’t believe that.
I try to stay away from too much of this sort of thing… I like to keep a logical mind… but sometimes when I’m not doing well… this sort of stuff can really start the tendrils of sneaky brained thinking.

I find it very interesting but I’m skeptical. I cast some spells when I was about 13 and I’m 27 now and only one seemed to have worked.
Aleister Crowley was one evil mofo. Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame bought his cloak that he wore during his ceremonies of occult worshipping. Jimmy Page is one dark figure too. I don’t know about now, he seems harmless but his music fame benefited I’m sure of his delving in the occult. (yes, I believe he sold his soul to the devil)
Back to Aleister. He is rumored to be able to be seen in more than one room talking to different people in a party at the same time…creepy man.
I’m with @SurprisedJ and @shutterbug on this one. Don’t believe it but find it interesting that some people take it seriously. I think it thrives a lot on deluded thinking.
And a lot of stuff was said in the media about crowley to demonize him back when he was alive, but I think he was just a cocaine addict and a little bit crazy.

Jack Parsons certainly was an interesting character. A rocket scientist AND occult magician! Talk about a strange combo.
