Been hearing pops and bangs

That aren’t there. Is a new feature of my ongoing burning hallucinations. I keep hearing electrical equipment shorting out but when I check everything is fine.

Hey, @anon94176359, are you in total silence?

Just a fan running. The noises always seem to come from the next room.

Do you think it is the sort of thing that requires more meds or should I just chalk it up to sz and get on with it?

See I ask that because I used to get all sorts of hallucinations when the fan was running. music would be playing and I would hear arguments. Then I would turn the fan off, and it would be silent again. I’m not sure why that happened. Can you do an experiment and try turning it off for a bit so you don’t think things are catching on fire?

Interesting @Winterblues I would never have thought of that. Will give it a shot this evening when it’s cooler. Thanks!

I hope it works. If you have a tv in that room, in the meantime, turn it down so you can barely hear it. It stops voices too because your brain is already focused on deciphering the tv.

@anon57786250, I used to get electrical sensations in my head, a few nights the summer b4 I started meds, then abilify made them practically every night. why do you ask?

I think it’s the meds adjusting to your body. I’m currently having the same problem with Clozapine. Hopefully it’ll work out in the end

It stopped 10 yrs ago when I got off abilify. Wondering if it was some chemical brain damage going on. I never met someone that had that same issue
