somehow there are bed bugs in the house, i know i am getting bit alot because when i am here i itch all over and feel sharp pinches always after the fact because i rarely ever find them after feeling this.
it was really bad i saw so many of them that i had to throw away my bed and they are still not gone.
the way this makes me feel is a terrible feeling, i feel like im itching all over whenever i am here and i feel like i cant sit down anywhere for very long, i feel somewhat suicidal knowing there is nothing i can do about it, because i dont have any money and no one else seems to care enough.
im kind of angry when i think about how they got here, at first i thought it was from some used furniture we got but my mom said she saw the bugs on my dads clothes before we even got the furniture and he doesnt live here but comes by sometimes.
i know his place is a shithole because when i used to go there were all kinds of pests. it makes me mad tho that someone would bring them to someone elses house and not even care. i feel like i cant work or have friends or even have company because of this and i cant stop thinking about it, it makes me feel very bad,
since the bed bugs have been here ive started smoking cigarettes again, which i didnt even enjoy very much but ive stopped now, i have a strong urge that i need to use something because of how stressed i am, i drink but not often and some days i wake up and feel like i need to drink and smoke until i am no longer worried about this problem, i never give in but i feel like if i break any further my life will be over. ive done some reading and there have been people with mental illness who have killed themselves after a bed bug infestation and i feel like these things are ruining my life
I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. I can’t even imagine how stressful this must be. We had fleas once and I was losing my ■■■■ and those are way easier to get rid of. I’m sorry. I hope you’re able to figure something out. Maybe talk to toe psychiatrist and see if their office has any resources?
Never experienced them. But I’ve heard they are very hard to get rid of.
Any idea where they might’ve come from? If you say throwing away the old bed didn’t help. Maybe they have another nest in the house?
i dont think there are many now in the room the bed was in but there are some in other rooms, i think they either got in from a piece of used furniture we got or my dad brought them from his house because we have seen them on him before we got the furniture and he said he had them before where he lives
I’m sorry you’re going through this. It sounds awful. I’ve seen shows on tv about how hard it is to get rid of bed bugs. Try not to get too discouraged and hopefully you can move soon.
oh, i will have to look into that, this situation is just getting worse, the air mattress ive been sleeping on since i had got rid of my bed is completely broken now, the seams lines had been popping and at first it was just lopsided but now its happened again and its completely lost its shape, i was minutes away from being asleep and now i guess i will have to sleep in the recliner chair or something, i am kinda afraid of all the furniture now tho that there may be more bed bugs but i need sleep
Okay, so I asked my sister her opinion because I saw a camping cot thing that I thought might be a good option. Anyways, she said when her friend had bed bugs the exterminator told her that bed bugs cannot jump or fly, so you should put the legs of your bed (assuming it’s not already infested) in a large dish of water so the bed bugs have no way of climbing up and getting on the bed.
That being said, you should probably get rid of your recliner, too.
A friend of mine said these helped the most. Put under each leg of bed and other furniture legs. And diatomaceous earth can be sprinkled around the room on the baseboards. That kills a lot too.
Get diatomaceous earth powder. DE powder, food grade. It kills bed bugs but is harmless to people and pets.
Put it all around baseboards, and under your mattress and any access point, around and on your bed. Get rid of, or wash in hot water, all cloth items…
You can overcome this. But I’m so sorry this is happening to you! I can’t even stand ants, but DE powder kills them too.
Suprised i havent found this thread sooner. My God. I feel your pain. I went the self-treatment route tho and ordered 6 Litres of chemicals to do it myself from a pesticide company.
Utter little bastards to get rid of. It took me 4 months spraying the room once a week - nearly killing my lungs in the process. Worked out cheaper than calling in the council tho.
You have my sympathy.
(Mine were simply caught by a freind that came over and said he had them the week before. Must of been on his clothes).
