I’ve been getting bit by bedbugs for nine years. I’ve tried getting rid of them but my mind can’t handle it. Is me allowing myself to get bit by bedbugs for nine years a negative or positive symptom? I feel like a normal person would never allow this to happen. Does this mean there is something extremely wrong with my brain? My legs are completely scarred from itching for eight years. Am I a psycho? Would normal ppl be afraid of me if they ever found out about this.
oh my, no you’re not psycho but I wish you would at least try to get rid of them, as hard as that sounds…after nine years it’s probably impossible…I would move !!
I’ve done certain, specific things for years as unusual as that. Things I couldn’t fathom that I did them and they made no sense. But that’s water under the bridge, the past is the past. The next step is to take steps to get rid of them.
Every day is a new day, a new chance to correct your wrongs and make things right. Incidentally, when I was in the board & care two years ago we had bedbugs for 4 months. Nasty little critters. But yeah, get rid of those things, reach out for help if it’s available. You shouldn’t have to live any longer like that.
Yeah @jukebox may be right, at this point it’s going to be really hard to get rid of them.
9 years? Sod that. I copped them last year, and it took about 2 months to get rid of them. I didnt realise my mate at the time had an infestation - and he was bringing them in on his clothes.
You can get industrial strength chemicals off most companys these days for a a reasonable price - far cheaper than calling out pest control. Amazon sell 5 litres of the stuff to treat a whole house for about 40 pounds.
Why not try to tackle it and finally get rid of em - im sure it would improve your mental health.
ive tried everything. Bed bug fog bombs, ive had pest control people spray, throwing away old clothes, washing clothes in warm water. When pest control people came to my house they said they didnt see any. I even went to a doctor and she didnt know what the bites were. She gave me scabies cream. I put that on and didnt do anything. Im homeless right now, so the only possible place they could be is on my skin, in my clothes, or in my car and i literally have never once seen one. But the bites get so bad sometimes its unbearable.
I did move actually, im homeless now but still getting bit. Ive never once seen them on me but i see the bites everyday. Ive adapted after nine years. Since the itching is so bad i cant sleep, i usually scald my skin with very hot water before going to bed. The scalding water takes the itch away from those bites permanently until new bites come the next day. But isnt it scary that ive had them for nine years? I would be scared of someone if they told me that.
They could very well keep biting me forever. What if I end up having them for sixty years? Im literally that mentally ill that it might be possible.
its sounds like an allergy. for example i get that way from aloe vera, its in most soaps you find in public restrooms
Scalding your skin dries it out which makes skin dry and itchy. I doubt you have bugs, just a skin condition aggravated by repeated exposure to hot water.
what should i do? Theyre mainly on my legs from knee down. sometimes on arms, never above neck. They are mostly small like scabie bites. I just use regular body wash and detergent.
I also get the three big mosquito looking bites arranged in a triangle pattern which is what bed bug bites look like when you look them up online.
They look like big mosquito bites in rows of three just like the bed bug bites look online.I have to scald them or i would go insane
Spiders usually bite in 3s, too.
for nine years every day?
Bedbugs like the buttocks. And if no one saw any, even professionals, it’s probably something else. Could even be hives. I’ve never heard of them infesting a car, but I guess it’s possible.
first off, I wouldn’t use online doctors. It makes me paranoid. I know as someone who has been homeless that it can be hard to find healthcare. Try using different types of lotions everyday. Preferably ones for sensitive skin, or eczema. Avoid perfumes or added ingredients like aloe. After a month of everyday lotion, if there is no improvement I would go see the doctor again, if you can.
I stayed over my moms house one and slept in her couch and then she said they had bed bugs in the couch and had to throw it out.
I’ve done a lot of bedbug treatments because of a previous job at a shelter. It doesn’t sound like bedbugs.
How could you have bedbugs for 9 years? I think your hallucinating
Why not just see a dermatologist?
He will tell you for sure what it is and how to treat+prevent it.
