The bad thing about sz is you don’t need a reason to go psychotic. It just happens. Quitting meds can cause you to go back to psychosis. If you do stop meds, do so by tapering down with tour pdoc.

Pedro you are doing so well just stay on the Zyprexa and keep things going well. I mean is there a reason why you would like to stop taking the Zyprexa? Is it bothering you?
weight gain and other side effects, plus I read 15 years of your life time span

@san_pedro I’m not trying to be mean, but I would hardly call you symptom-free. You frequently struggle with the delusion that you’re about to win boatloads of money. It affects you. You also still have a drinking problem. I worry quitting Zyprexa will only exacerbate these problems. If you’re looking to lose weight and live longer, give up the alcohol first.

If you are quitting any AP with the blessing of a doctor
You want to taper down super slow!
I heard 10% every time
A lot of people fail to get off there AP because of cold turkey or too rapid reduction in there medication
We are trying to reduce harm here as much as possible
Be prepared for extra pyramidal side effects to take place.
And yes tardive psychosis is a withdrawal symptom as well
Also extreme dopamine sensitivity
It’s completely terrifying to be honest
I loaded up with Benadryl because it helps with dystonia
And you will be constipated
So you’ll need flax seeds too
You also need somebody monitoring you to make sure you are okay the whole time through
A good expensive high quality super bioavailable multvitamin would be helpful
Do your research And talk to your doc
Who knows perhaps tapering Down one mg down will dramatically improve the quality of your life and you may be happy with just that

Did you just try and tell somebody with schizophrenia that they are having delusions?
Is that efficient?
I wonder if there are better ways to talk to somebody with schizophrenia
