Hey @san_pedro
Read my post brother!
I suggest you take the harm reduction approach!
Much love and I hope your quality of life will improve
I heard zyprexa in particular has a pretty bad withdrawal profile
So whatever you do go extremely slow with the help of your pdoc to monitor you

We can tell by what you post.

cool I am willing to take my chances

so I post 10% of my life here and you guys know the other 90% how?

Look, we want you to stay healthy is all we mean. Plenty of people stop their meds and become super sick. We don’t want to see you become that way.

Sounds like a bad Idea dude, maybe the reason you’re doing so well is because the meds are working.

Wouldn’t want to relapse.

AP’s are not tic tacs and they don’t/shouldn’t just hand them out to people.

SZ is diagnosed after 6 months of symptoms. I am pretty certain it’s a life thing once you hit that mile stone.

That was uncalled for.

Trust me o felt like you before I stopped my medication and had the same mentality: " I’ll lose a lot of years of my life to APs; side effects are horrible: I’ve been long enough on medication". The reality is that you will lose more years if you relapse by spending rebuilding your life, you won’t even notice when you will have full blown psychosis and mania and end up locked in a hospital again. What I can only recommend is going on therapeutic dose of medication for few months and see how it goes: if you feel better with less side effects that means maybe you can stay on that low dose indefinitely

Reading your posts @san_pedro mate - i dont think your well enough either. Go by the advice here. If you must - taper off under the supervision of a Pdoc.

Or we will have yet another thread on here a few months down the line - saying you’ve relapsed - like most always end up doing.

I wouldnt stop them at all actually - but its your life, your an adult with capacity…
