Bad dreams/nightmares

With my schizophrenia I find I’m always only remembering bad dreams or nightmares is anyone else the same?

I have a lot of nightmares I remember but I also have ptsd as well as sza. I’m sorry youre struggling.

Its good to know I’m not alone then, also I’m sorry too. How long have you had bad nightmares? I think I read somewhere that its common for people with schizophrenia to have bad dreams

I have a terrible time with disturbing dreams. About a year ago I started taking a med called prazosin. It really stops the dreams from making me wake up all hours and not being able to go back to sleep. I hardly ever even remember my dreams. It’s a wonder drug for me and it helps with my blood pressure too because it is actually a blood pressure medicine that they just happen to notice worked for nightmares in folks with PTSD.

I used to get them really bad. Horrible nightmares. I was on Seroquel and that did it. It got worse when I started a blood pressure med. I’m on Vraylar now and stopped my blood pressure med at night. Now my dreams are ok. It’s different for everyone I’m sure but that’s my experience.

Ive had bad nightmares about trauma since i was about 9 (?) But I’ve always been a very vivid dreamer. How long have you dreamt like this??

This stat really wouldn’t surprise me! Cause when you think about it SZ is very stressful! And hallucinations/delusions are sometimes pretty nightmarish in themselves.

I dreamed last night I was injecting myself with heroin

I dreamed last night that undead were chasing me

Not all the time , usually I dream war , today I dreamed that I was going with the bus and was confused pressed stop button and then back doors opened and people fall from a moving bus but they didn’t die, then I wAs searching for a way to back home. I also usually dream people from the past

Nah I remember all my dreams. The issue is for me my dreams are so realistic I tend to confuse them with reality…:disappointed: It is very confusing with psychosis.

Last night I had a pretty cool dream about keeping a city safe from giants. I was flying around and using my powers and training people on how to get rid of them
