The first 6 months were the hardest but weight loss was great. Kept me going.
After that I’m a lot slacker. i stick to macros and such but have days off and enjoy food because that is important but gains have continued. It’s worth the shot. It really is because improvements for me have been incredible and I’m doing same shite everyday…
The difference over 20 years of meds and compliance has been keto. It really is something different but worth exploring if you can do it…
It’s dumb but lo carb has been ridiculous for me and my shrink got me onto it. It’s that thing. Internet is full of crap especially for heatlh. i exercise lots and have been good enough to do that for years but the simple fact is lo carb has improved my mental health incredibly. The results are like chalk and cheese and I’m cheesing up the universe…Don’t believe the hype!
I’m busy doing life. Better gains cognitively after 20 years of medications. Still on the same pills but have options with life now. Yeah. It’s 20 years too late but I’m living large at soon to be 55. It’s dumb really because no one wants to believe it but it works and it’s a game changer for those it does…maybe not for everyone and seriously. Did 6 months serious keto but now have cheat days and it’s all good and gains are still good!
Unfortunately, the keto diet is hard to stick with long term because it is so restrictive. I still get cravings on this diet. That might be what you are struggling with also.
Everytime you slip up just get back on the diet and try again. I think it is worth it.
My wife keeps baking treats and feels hurt when I avoid them. They’re loaded with refined sugar and refined sugar is poison for me. I don’t want any and I don’t like the temptation. It is not helpful.
