Hey you should avoid taking vitamin B9 (Folate), I got word that it was helpful so I tried it and it FRIED my brain, my cognition is screwed up, I can’t think straight now. I also tried vitamin B8 (inositol) and that fried my brain too but the B9 was worse! They both helped alot but I can’t take either ever again. I have also tried vitamin B6 & B12 and they are both harmless and help alot, those are OK, no side effects. I have also found some other things that help alot, Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Sulforaphane, those are harmless, no side effects, but the effect only lasts a few hours and then wears off. Also there is a sedative effect, they make me tired.
Im guessing its not the vitamins - and you have wrongly associated it - with giving you a problem.

I take both prescription folate and OTC folate as prescribed by my dr. Nothing bad has happened as a result

It’s unlikely to cause harm. B9 is widely used, for instance by women during pregnancy to ensure a healthy fetal.
