I volunteer at a nature center and this guy came in the other day and said “I saw the python, but are there any other snakes” and I said “Yeah in the other room there’s tons of snakes!” Thinking he wanted to see the snakes. But then he says “Okay so don’t go in that room? because my Son is scared of snakes.”
Then he brings his sons in and his sons completely LOVE the snakes. The girl I work with pulled out a snake out of it’s cage. This little snake named noodle and all of a sudden the guy who asked me the question RUNS in the opposite direction, like a little girl and lets out a shriek and an “ew”. He was 6 foot 4 and completely terrified of snakes.
It was hilarious.
No I’m not scared of snakes I picked up big snakes at work and it’s no big deal they’re just animals.
Although once I was going for a hike and I saw a giant snake in the woods and it was kind of scary that I could have stepped on it if I wasn’t paying attention and gotten bitten. That would’ve been bad.
I’m scared of poisonous snakes. I give non-poisonous snakes a healthy respect too because they can still bite you. Where I live sometimes there are copperheads smashed in the road where cars ran them over at night. It makes me feel creepy when I walk on the road at night and I can’t see what I am stepping on. I’ll never understand these people who look at snakes as pets. A snake is not my idea of a cuddly animal.
One evening my relatives snakes got out of their cage.
I was sleeping. I woke up in the middle of the night with two snakes comfortably nestled in my crotch.
I was a kid and it freaked me out.
Snakes are cool if they aren’t poisonous or aggresive. And they taste like chicken. But they are only okay if you aren’t a mouse at which point they become the most hideous thing you have ever seen.
I like snakes myself , I enjoy watching the fluidity of their movements, I think that ignorant people gave them a taboo image due to the whole ‘serpent in eden’ bs.
They are of God just like the cute cuddly creatures.
